I had to give up halfway through the third episode
Narrative
It follows Catherine Ravenscroft, a documentary journalist whose work involves exposing the wrongdoings of long-respected institutions. Gary Oldman was originally rumored to be cast, but was replaced by Kevin Kline. This is one of the worst series I have ever seen, not even Cate Blanchett could save it.
I can’t believe how many things went wrong
This is coming from someone who read the book while waiting for this show. I have to say that I found the book itself very average. What’s up with the sound quality and this horribly useless narration?
And that annoying transition!
Everything seems so out of place in this mess of a show. The ratings are definitely fake, there is no way this is a 7 star show. The dialogues of the young actors are simply embarrassing.
One star for the cat
The whole show is just very boring. We know what happened from the beginning, contrary to the book if I remember correctly, so once the mystery is solved we are left with nothing. Too bad I was actually waiting for this.
